Vice Pres. Elect Mike Pence,
leading Republican Senators John McCain, Lindsay Graham; Representative Paul
Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, and other Republican leaders, wait patiently for the new
President Elect to be sworn in. The following day, those Republicans, led by VP
Pence, invoke the 25th Amendment, declaring President Trump unfit for office.
Trump's advisors attempt to
explain to him that his response to Congress must be in writing. He dismisses
their advice, and responds as expected – via Twitter.
Congressional leaders on both
sides agree that Pence is far more acceptable as President. Democrats realize
that Pence is sane, and although his beliefs and philosophy are in many ways
objectionable, they agree that he is capable of carrying out the duties of the
President as outlined in the US Constitution. They happily agree to vote with
Republicans.
After several days of Trump
throwing the most epic Twitter tantrum in US history, Congress votes to
override Trump's objection, and accept Pence's assertion that Trump is unfit.
Shortly thereafter, Mike Pence is sworn in as
the 46th President of the US.
